Take a Word Challenge - Botanical

I am very happy and proud to provide the example picture this week, thank you for this chance!

With a theme as botanical you can go in so many directions but I decided for a traditional vintage picture.
The background is a vintage postcard of the Botanical Garden in New York. I have altered it a wee bit and I have added several things and toyed around with blending and other things. The result is the picture below.

On a personal note, due to some minor health issues I haven't been able to participate in any challenges and/or visit all your blogs like I normally do. I will be back again as soon as I can. Hugs & enjoy!

The Three Muses Challenge - Book

When I saw the challenge last week my mind instantly went blanc. I have so many books that my house is a firehazard. Books are everywhere in my house and you might have guessed I love to read. There isnt really a subject that doesnt interest me. Except math. Numbers make me very nervous. So anyway, my mind went from a ziljon ideas to no idea in a second. And it stayed on no ideas for a week. lol. Still I hope you like the pic I made. Enjoy.

Odd Couple - The Three Muses Challenge

The steampunk grandparents got me going. But I "steampunked" my cat which was great fun.  Kitty has gotten a lot of extra layers. Then since it was about couples I needed a side-kick for her. I've gone through so many ideas but since I have always been a huge fan of 'Are you Being Served' and Molly Sugden I grabbed my chance. I set out with her head and started ading the body. That was so much fun. I went from robocop to tutu's, from clowns to victorian. The arms and legs were much the same journey.

For those who know "Are you being served" is the picture ofcourse not an 'odd couple' since Mrs. Slocombe always talked about her.. 'cat'. But no matter, I think Mrs. S and my cat are the perfect odd couple.

One important thing; By no means do I want or have I intended to insult anyone with this picture. If you feel offended by the use of the head of Molly Sugden as her character Mrs. Slocombe, please let me know and I will remove the picture immediatly.

So with this all said, enjoy.

Take a Word Challenge - Childhood

This picture is special to me. The two pages in the book are pictures taken by me from an old puzzle-blocks-thingie. I have no idea how it is called. Its a puzzle I have as long as I can remember and there are 6 puzzles to be made, all fairytales. As a kid I was always drawn in by fairytales and used to imagine I lived in the fairytale world so I made this picture for the challenge childhood.

All pictures used are from my private collection with exception of the bubble brushes.

The file is megabig. I am sorry for that. I tried cropping and resizing it, but the picture is best at this size. So a Big picture. Enjoy.
